BYD

BYD India continues its ambitious rollout of electric vehicle infrastructure with the inauguration of its 42nd dealership showroom, located in Sonipat, Haryana, on July 17, 2025. This marks BYD’s second partnership with Samta BYD in Haryana, following the unveiling of the massive Karnal facility earlier in 2025.

A Bold Expansion into North India

The new Sonipat showroom sits at the heart of BYD India’s strategy to deepen its penetration in North India. At approximately 2,000 square feet, it offers customers access to BYD’s complete EV lineup including the SEALION 7, SEAL, ATTO 3, and eMAX 7. Key experiences such as test drives, financing support, and AFTER‑SALES service facilities further enrich the customer experience.

Rajeev Chauhan, Head of Electric Passenger Vehicles at BYD India, commented:

“The launch of our 42nd showroom in India reflects BYD’s continued commitment to expanding clean mobility…”.

This Sonipat facility reinforces BYD’s push to scale operations across Tier‑2 and Tier‑3 cities, making sustainable mobility more accessible and convenient.

From Karnal to Sonipat: A Rapid Growth Trajectory

BYD India inaugurated its first Haryana showroom in Karnal on January 10, 2025, unveiling Samta BYD Karnal, a state-of-the-art facility covering 30,000 sq. ft., identified as the largest BYD showroom + workshop in North India.

That facility was designed to elevate the customer journey with a spacious display zone, a modern customer lounge, and service infrastructure equipped with advanced workshop tools. There, the full BYD lineup—SEAL sedan, ATTO 3 SUV, and eMAX 7 MPV—is showcased while the forthcoming SEALION 7 coupe‑SUV is slated for display and sales later in 2025.

The current expansion plan envisions growing from 27 touchpoints to 40 dealerships by January 2025 end, and now stands at 42, aligning with this aggressive growth roadmap.
